International Folk Dance Festival, Bakio, Basque Region, July/August 2000
Aurora visited a folk dance festival in Bakio, Basque Region, Spain, during July-August 2000. We were hosted by Itxas-Alde Dantza Taldea, a Basque traditional dance group. Our group spent several days in Bilbao followed by the 4-day festival in Bakio. We gave four performances of traditional Scottish dances and music to crowds of up to 1000 people.
