Aurora will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2026, having been formally constituted in October 1996. Over this time, we have enjoyed and promoted Scottish dance, music and traditions locally and internationally.
To mark this milestone, we are holding a celebratory weekend from 11-14 September 2026. We are delighted that dancing friends from French, Italian and Swedish folk dance groups are coming to Aberdeen to help us celebrate. As part of the weekend, we will be holding a ceilidh in Elphinstone Hall on Saturday 12 September 2026. Further information on how to book tickets will be available soon.
Our annual ball will also have a 30th anniversary focus with the programme being mainly drawn from our 1st Annual Ball programme.
